Advancing Public Health With Dr. Eboni Haynes

As we have traversed the recent pandemic and other public health events, the desire to help our community is stronger than ever, and the need for public health resources has never been more evident.

In this episode of the podcast we speak with Dr. Eboni Haynes. Dr. Haynes is a Public Health practitioner, researcher, and educator. She began her public health career as an HIV/AIDS/STD prevention educator in Richmond, Virginia, working with adolescents in community settings, juvenile detention centers, and prisons. Since then, she’s worked in various leadership capacities in the field of Public Health with healthcare, non-profit, community-based, and national organizations; research institutions; and local and state health departments.  Dr. Haynes has coordinated research efforts with university partners, provided technical assistance to community organizations; municipal, business, and school leaders; and others. Dr. Haynes has also managed programs funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and served as a health equity consultant to the American Heart Association.
